- Chief Apostle Dr. Marcus Barr is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina he was born February 25, 1979 to the late Maurice O. Byers and Mary B. Payne who is currently the Executive Director of Marcus Barr Ministries, Inc. Dr. Barr was a graduate of Carver High school and furthered his education by getting his certification in paralegal studies.
He also received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from Free Pentecostal Bible Institute of Scottsville, KY in 2003. God has favored him with wisdom and knowledge outside of ministry. He is also the founder/president and CEO of Marcus Barr Ministries Inc, Helping Arms Development, Inc and Marcus Barr Evangelistic Association just to name a few. Prior to establishing businesses God launched him into the pulpit at the tender age 15.
Apostle Barr has been actively preaching and teaching the gospel for over thirteen years. He has been blessed to be the Senior Pastor of International City of Praise Christian Center, Inc located in the beautiful city of Winston-Salem, NC. Apostle Barr is the Overseer & Chief Apostle & Presiding Prelate of the International Christian Fellowship Churches. He has been covered and ordained locally and nationally to name a few by Pastor Rod Parsley of World Harvest Church Ministerial Fellowship in Columbus, OH and Apostle Addie Collins of Mercy Outreach Church of Deliverance, Inc of High Point, NC.
In addition to being a pastor and entrepreneur he also serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations. He serves as the honorary Chairman of the Small Business Advisory Council in Washington, DC. He is also the board member for C. E. Harris Enterprise, Inc as the spiritual advisor.
